General Cardiology Opening in TN Located in Nashville, TN Position Overview

  • Full-time General Cardiology opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee
  • Join a collaborative cardiovascular program with general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, advanced imaging cardiologists, and APPs
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease
  • Serve a diverse patient population, including underserved communities
  • Opportunity for academic involvement, teaching, and clinical research
Practice Highlights Perform and interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other non-invasive cardiac studies Provide cardiovascular consultations and preoperative risk assessments Manage postoperative cardiovascular care as appropriate Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and prevention plans Collaborate with primary care physicians, hospitalists, emergency medicine physicians, surgeons, nurses, APPs, and other specialists Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and cardiovascular program development Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health, disease prevention, and management Opportunities to teach medical students, residents, fellows, and APPs Potential for an academic appointment, clinical research, scholarly activities, and teaching rounds Support the delivery of high-quality, equitable cardiovascular care Qualifications MD or DO degree Completion of an Internal Medicine residency Completion of a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease Two years of cardiovascular experience preferred Exceptionally trained new graduates will be considered Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care Interest in serving diverse and underserved patient populations Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 12 paid holidays Continuing education opportunities Academic, teaching, and research opportunities Metro Health Incentive Program offering access to high-quality healthcare without out-of-pocket expenses Collaborative and supportive cardiovascular practice environment About Nashville, TN Capital of Tennessee and one of the Southeast's major healthcare and economic centers Known for its vibrant music scene, restaurants, entertainment, and cultural attractions Home to several universities and academic medical institutions Diverse neighborhoods and suburban communities Access to outdoor recreation, including parks, lakes, hiking, and greenways No state income tax on wages Nashville International Airport provides convenient domestic and international travel connections Opportunities to enjoy both urban amenities and surrounding suburban communities
