Job description
OnCall Solutions is partnering with a multi-hospital health system seeking a Board Certified General Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage beginning December 2026.
The current coverage window runs through February 2027, with the potential for additional ongoing dates.
Schedule
- Weekday coverage
- 8:00 AM–4:30 PM onsite
- Possible overnight call, 4:30 PM–8:00 AM
- Possible weekend coverage
Clinical Responsibilities
- General Cardiology
- Inpatient rounding
- Hospital consults
- ECHO
- TEE
- EKG
- Stress testing
- Potential limited ambulatory coverage
Practice Environment
The assignment supports a multi-hospital hub-and-spoke Cardiology program anchored by an academic medical center.
APP support is available for weekday inpatient rounds. At the academic hub, fellows provide first-call coverage overnight.
Most overnight calls involve consults that are evaluated the following day, and onsite overnight callbacks are reportedly uncommon.

Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- Active Nebraska medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification
- Iowa license strongly preferred
- Iowa license should be in process if not already active
- ACLS, BLS and DEA strongly preferred
- Clean malpractice/background strongly preferred
Candidates must provide their specific available dates between December 1, 2026 and February 28, 2027, along with the number of shifts they could consistently offer each month.
