A growing physician-led multi-specialty medical group on Long Island, New York is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Cardiologist to join its collaborative, patient-focused team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a cardiologist interested in combining comprehensive outpatient cardiovascular care with advanced diagnostic interpretation and leadership of an established nuclear medicine program.
The position offers up to $500,000 in annual compensation, a Monday–Friday schedule, no call, no weekends, and strong clinical and administrative support.
The selected physician will provide cardiovascular care across multiple Long Island locations and serve as the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for the organization's nuclear medicine laboratory. Candidates with nuclear cardiology or nuclear medicine experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to adult patients
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
Perform detailed cardiovascular assessments
Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
Order and interpret appropriate cardiovascular diagnostic testing
Interpret noninvasive cardiac and vascular studies
Collaborate with primary care and specialty physicians
Educate patients regarding prevention, medications, and treatment options
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Provide care across multiple Long Island locations
Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care
Diagnostic Interpretation
The ideal candidate should be comfortable interpreting:
Echocardiograms
Carotid studies
Abdominal aortic aneurysm studies
Lower-extremity arterial Doppler studies
Lower-extremity venous Doppler studies
Nuclear medicine studies
Cardiac stress tests
Radiation Safety Officer Responsibilities
The physician will serve as the Radiation Safety Officer for the organization's nuclear medicine laboratory, with responsibilities including:
Provide physician oversight of the nuclear medicine program
Promote compliance with applicable radiation-safety requirements
Support safe handling, administration, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials
Collaborate with nuclear medicine technologists and clinical leadership
Review radiation-safety practices, documentation, and quality standards
Participate in required audits, inspections, training, and corrective actions
Promote a strong culture of patient and employee safety
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
Active New York medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Experience interpreting echocardiograms, vascular studies, nuclear studies, and stress tests
Meaningful nuclear medicine or nuclear cardiology experience
Ability to meet applicable qualifications to serve as a Radiation Safety Officer
Strong clinical and diagnostic decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered care
Willingness to practice across multiple Long Island locations
Preferred Qualifications
Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease
Nuclear Cardiology certification or advanced nuclear medicine experience
Current Authorized User status
Previous Radiation Safety Officer experience
Outpatient cardiology experience
Strong proficiency with noninvasive cardiac and vascular studies
Experience working within a multi-location physician group
