• Seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist with Electrophysiology certification for a locum tenens assignment.
• Primary focus is hospital-based cardiology support, with both inpatient and outpatient privileges available.
• Provider will manage adult patients and participate in rounding, consultations, admissions, and follow-up care.
• Only inpatient admissions are primarily STEMI cases, with approximately a few STEMI admissions per week; remaining cases consist mainly of consultations and follow-up rounds.
• Average patient volume is approximately 14–16 patients per day.
• Provider will work alongside an ARNP who is present in the hospital daily except Sunday.
• The position includes an average call frequency of 1:6, including weekday night call and one weekend call.
• Required experience includes echocardiography, cardiac nuclear medicine, TEE, and cardioversion.
• Nuclear Board Certification is not required, but experience with cardiac nuclear medicine is required.

Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate and manage adult cardiac patients, including STEMI admissions.
• Conduct cardiology consultations and follow-up rounds.
• Perform and interpret echocardiograms and TEE studies.
• Perform cardioversions as clinically indicated.
• Interpret cardiac nuclear studies.
• Provide electrophysiology services across the spectrum from pacemakers to ablations.
• Manage approximately 2–4 TEE procedures per shift.
• Participate in admissions, rounding, and overnight/weekend call coverage.
• Collaborate with ARNPs and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the Epic EMR.
• Provide required case logs documenting recent cardiovascular clinical activity.
Qualifications
• Board Certification in Cardiology required.
• Board Certification in Electrophysiology required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Active Washington medical license preferred.
• IMLC candidates accepted; non-licensed candidates may also be considered subject to current credentialing requirements.
• Washington license and DEA in hand preferred for expedited credentialing.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NRP listed as a required certification.
• Epic EMR proficiency required.
• Experience with cardiac nuclear medicine required.
• Must have recent clinical activity representative of the requested cardiovascular privileges.
Working Hours
• 8-hour standard shifts.
• Approximately 1–2 weekday call nights and one weekend call assignment.
• Average call frequency: 1:6.
• Rounding and admissions required.
• 24-hour weekend call compensation available.
• Night call compensation available.
• 4 hours gratis on the 24-hour weekend call.
