We are seeking a Board-Certified General Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Illinois. This is a long-term need offering a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule with a combination of clinic, inpatient consults, and primarily phone-based call coverage.
Opportunity Highlights
- Location: Centralia, IL
- Locum Tenens – 1099
- 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consults
- Call is primarily telephone coverage rather than in-house presence
- Ongoing need anticipated for approximately 1 year
- Adult patient population
- Solo physician coverage
Clinical Responsibilities
- General Cardiology
- Management of CAD, hypertension, and heart failure patients
- Inpatient consults
- Read EKGs and echocardiograms
- Supervise stress testing
- Outpatient clinic coverage
- Phone-based after-hours call
Support
- APP support 2 days per week
- Medical Assistant
- Solo MD coverage
