We are seeking a Locum Interventional Cardiology Physician to provide hospital coverage in Gettysburg, PA. The role includes inpatient & outpatient cardiology care, hospital consultations, cardiac catheterization procedures, TEE, echo interpretation, nuclear testing & STEMI call coverage.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage inpatient & outpatient cardiology patients
• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures
• Perform TEEs
• Interpret echocardiograms
• Perform cardiac window procedures
• Support nuclear cardiac testing
• Participate in STEMI call coverage
• Provide hospital rounding & consultations
• Manage urgent cardiac cases during call
• Participate in day & night hospital coverage
• Document patient care in EPIC
• Collaborate with hospital clinical teams
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC LOQ in hand
• DEA required
• Interventional cardiology experience required
• Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures
• Experience with TEE & echo interpretation
• EPIC experience preferred
• Clean credentialing file preferred for temporary privileges
Working Hours
• Day shifts generally 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
• 1 hour lunch required on weekdays
• Night beeper call: 4:00 PM–7:00 AM
• STEMI call coverage
• Weekend STEMI call may include 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Coverage averages approximately 3 weeks of call per month
