Job description
We are seeking a Cardiologist for a locum tenens position in Potsdam, New York. This assignment combines outpatient clinic, stress test supervision, and inpatient consult coverage across two facilities located approximately 30 miles apart. Please see below for more information.
- Acute care setting
- Level III/IV adult trauma center
- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
Supervise stress tests approximately one day per week
Perform inpatient cardiology consultations and provide stress lab coverage
Read the nuclear portion of stress tests as needed to support other reading providers
Participate in hospital consult service rotation on an ad hoc basis
Float between two facilities located approximately 30 miles apart - outpatient clinic and stress test supervision at one site, hospital consult service at the other
Qualifications
Active New York State medical license in hand
Current AHA or RQI certification
Epic EMR proficiency required
Working Hours
On-call coverage required, 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM as needed
While on call, the provider is expected to remain within a 20-minute radius of the facility where care is being provided
