Job description
We are seeking a General Cardiologist for a locum tenens position in Bellingham, Washington. This is a hospital-based general cardiology assignment covering rounding, admissions, and procedural work for an adult population. Please see below for more information.
- 247-bed hospital
- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
Perform daily rounding and admissions
Manage an average daily census of approximately 8-10 patients
Perform cardioversions
Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), averaging approximately 2-4 per shift
Practice independently within the full scope of general cardiovascular disease privileges requested
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team in the delivery of inpatient cardiovascular care
Qualifications
Board certified in Cardiology
Active Washington state medical license required; IMLC accepted; candidates willing to obtain Washington licensure will be considered
ACLS required
BLS required
Epic charting experience required
Working Hours
Scheduled clinical coverage plus on-call responsibilities
Approximately two weeknight calls per coverage week
Potential 24-hour weekend call as needed
