General Cardiologist needed for an ASAP outpatient locum opportunity in Central Pennsylvania!

We're seeking a Board Certified General Cardiologist to provide outpatient coverage with a flexible schedule and expedited credentialing process. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking for a short-term assignment with the potential to extend.

Position Highlights

• Location: State College, Pennsylvania
• Start Date: ASAP (target start by August 3, 2026)
• Assignment Length: 60 days with the option to extend
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Flexible Availability: Open to providers available 1–2 weeks per month
• Setting: Outpatient
• Call: Not required (optional weeknight, weekend, and daytime hospital call available)
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: Emergency privileges available for qualified providers with a clean file

Clinical Responsibilities

• General cardiology consultations
• Interpret echocardiograms (ECHO), Holter monitors, and ECGs/EKGs
• Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) required only for physicians electing to take hospital call
• Average patient volume of 20–25 patients per day
• Work alongside experienced nursing staff, medical assistants, and advanced practice providers

Requirements

• Board Certified Cardiologist (MD/DO)
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC
• Outpatient cardiology experience preferred
