Job description

Cardiologist | Michigan | Employed, No Call, Non-Invasive or Invasive

A growing cardiology service in Michigan is looking for a Cardiologist to practice either general/non-invasive cardiology or continue an invasive practice with cath lab access. You'll have an established support structure, a stable employed setting, and room to help shape the program as it grows.

Practice Overview:

  • You'll join an employed cardiology program supported by APPs and a strong hospitalist team
  • Current mix includes full-time, part-time, and contracted cardiology coverage as the program expands
  • Clinical mix is approximately 80% outpatient and 20% inpatient with light consult volume (often 1-4/day)
  • Blocked cath lab time available; existing lab with planned equipment upgrades

Schedule:

  • Typical flow: brief inpatient rounding (about an hour) followed by clinic
  • Flexible models available: full-time in West Branch or a split schedule with a nearby location
  • No Call
  • APP support helps streamline consults and day-to-day patient management

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Strong Base salary
  • Sign-on bonus up to $200,000
  • Benefits include medical coverage, malpractice with tail, and retirement options (403(b) and 457)
  • Time off and professional support: 200 hours PTO and $3,000 CME allowance

Candidate Requirements:

  • BE/BC in Cardiology
  • Open to all experience levels, including early-career and seasoned physicians
  • Ability to practice in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Comfort with outpatient-focused practice; invasive interest welcomed with cath lab availability

Community & Location Highlights:

  • Small-town lifestyle with easy access to Northern Michigan recreation, lakes, and four-season outdoor activities
  • Commute-friendly community with a slower pace and room to breathe outside the clinic
  • Affordable housing options compared with larger metro areas
  • Regional airport access within a reasonable drive for quick getaways and family travel
