This medical center is a comprehensive 250-bed regional facility that serves as a cornerstone of healthcare in the greater Richmond area. The facility features 30 ICU beds and maintains a strong cardiovascular program with advanced cardiac services and state-of-the-art technology to support interventional cardiology procedures.
Opportunity:
Physician - Interventional Cardiology
Job Details:
• Provide interventional cardiology coverage from May 1 - June 30, 2026
• Work in inpatient/call practice setting with EPIC documentation system
• Coverage needed due to affiliate cardiology group possibly departing from facility
• Weekday staffing Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM onsite
• On-call coverage weekday evenings 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM and full weekends
• STEMI call aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage
• Manage approximately 2 daily inpatient admissions per physician
• Serve adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work alongside other interventional cardiologists during coverage period
• Perform balloon angioplasties, coronary angioplasty, and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
• Conduct heart catheterizations, coronary angiograms, and medical management of vascular disease
• Provide embolic protection, carotid artery stenting, and atherectomy procedures
• Must be Board Certified with active Virginia state license
• BLS/ACLS certification required with clean malpractice history
• Self-Query NPDB report mandatory within 30 days of presentation
• Emergency or temporary privileges for credentialing
• Facility provides reimbursement for flight, hotel, and rental car

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
