Rates: $450/hr

Opportunity Highlights

• Start Date: May 10, 2026.

• Contract Length: Ongoing (13-week initial blocks).

• Rotation Schedule: * Week 1: Inpatient Call (Monday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM).

  • Week 2: Outpatient Clinic (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

• Support Staff: Medical Assistants in the office; integration with the heart and vascular network.

• EMR: EPIC (Required proficiency).

Clinical Scope & Volume

The cardiologist will manage a consistent mix of acute hospital consults and routine outpatient management.

• Hospital Week: Average census of 20 patients/consults.

  • Responsibilities include: Hospital consults, TEEs, Echo reads, and Nuclear testing.

• Clinic Week: Average of 18 patients per day.

• Setting: WellSpan-owned private practice and Gettysburg Hospital (Academic/Training environment).

• Procedures: Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE), and Nuclear Stress Test interpretations.

Provider Requirements

• Board Status: Board Eligible (BE) required (or BC) in Cardiovascular Disease.

• Licensure: Active Pennsylvania (PA) Medical License in hand (Required). No "willing to license" candidates.

• Certifications: Active DEA with a PA address registration.

• Experience: Proficiency in inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic management.

• Documentation: * NPDB self-query dated within 6 months.

  • Full 7-year work history or list of last 10 assignments.

  • Full disclosure of all malpractice history.

Credentialing Information

• Temporary Privileges: Available for "true urgent needs" and clean files; must be requested at the start of the application.

• Deadline: Provider must be fully cleared 2 business days prior to the May 10th start date.
