Job Title: Locum Physician – General Cardiology
Location: Lewisburg, PA

Contract Length: Ongoing
Practice Setting: Clinic & Hospital
Coverage Needed: Approx. 1 week + 1 weekend per month
Schedule Overview:
Clinic & Procedures:
- May 11–15: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- May 18–22: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- June 8–12: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- June 15–19: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Call Coverage:
- May 22 (4 PM) – May 26 (5 PM)
- June 19 (4 PM) – June 22 (7 AM)
- July 20 (7 AM) – July 30 (5 PM)
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a Locum General Cardiologist to provide a mix of clinic, procedural, and call coverage in Lewisburg, PA. This role offers a balanced schedule with outpatient care, inpatient responsibilities, and minimal callback burden.
Key Responsibilities:
See approximately 17–18 adult patients per day
Perform and interpret cardiac procedures
Provide inpatient rounding during call coverage
Collaborate with APPs and interventional cardiology team
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
Qualifications
Hospital Bed Size: 150 beds
Patient Population: Adult
Department: 1 full-time cardiologist; cath lab coverage 3 days/week
Support Staff: APP support with interventional team
EMR: EPIC
Procedures & Skills:
Nuclear reads
Stress tests
TEEs
Cardioversions
Echo monitoring
Preferred: CT reads
Call Details:
Average Callback:
Nights: None
Weekends: None (rounding required)
Working Hours
Board Certification: BC/BE in Cardiology
Licensure: PA license or IMLC accepted
DEA: Required
Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred
Credentialing: Temporary privileges available with clean file
Additional Info:
Gratis Hours: 2 hours
