Cardiology – Inpatient Location: Hartford, CT Board Certified/Eligible Cardiologist • Schedule: 7-on / 7-off, offering strong work-life balance • Full-time role primarily focused on consultative and follow-up inpatient cardiology care for medium to high-complexity patients Clinical & Practice Highlights: • Collaborate closely with clinical faculty and referring physicians • Responsibilities include evaluation of new consults, collaborative rounding, and transitional care • Partner with a multidisciplinary team including Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers and subspecialists: o Advanced Heart Failure o Structural Heart o Interventional Cardiology o Electrophysiology o Cardiac Surgery • Opportunities for hybrid inpatient/outpatient practice available • Clinical, research, and teaching opportunities with fellows and the cardiology team Institute & System Strengths: • Part of a nationally recognized Heart & Vascular Institute with 55 practice locations and 7 acute care hospitals across Connecticut • Institute is one of only 16 hospitals nationally with Joint Commission Comprehensive Cardiac Center (CCC) Certification • Physician-led group with robust internal referral network and strong mentoring culture • Access to Physician Leadership Institute for career growth and leadership training Professional Development & Wellbeing: • Supportive, collegial environment focused on physician wellness, innovation, and high-quality patient care • Opportunities to engage in teaching, research, and leadership within a progressive, integrated system Location: • Based in Hartford, Connecticut • Within two hours of Boston and New York City • Enjoy excellent schools, four-season recreational activities, and diverse living options including shoreline, suburbs, and urban communities Qualifications: • Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine and Echocardiography • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Connecticut • Proficiency in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography; nuclear cardiology certification preferred
