This facility is a leading healthcare provider in Montana featuring a 32-bed cardiology department with advanced cardiac care capabilities. The medical center is designated as a Level 1 trauma facility, offering comprehensive cardiovascular services including a state-of-the-art catheterization lab that handles 10-15 STEMIs per month.
Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Cardiology
Job Details:
• Coverage for interventional cardiology maternity leave primarily on weekends with additional weekday dates
• Cath lab coverage only (no hospital coverage required) for an interventional cardiologist
• Average 5-10 cases per day (typically lighter on weekends)
• Facility handles 10-15 STEMIs per month
• Specific coverage dates needed in March, April, and June 2023, with potential July dates
• 6-10 patient encounters per shift
• Must be board certified or board eligible
• Fellowship trained (3 years)
• BLS certification required
• Montana medical license or IMLC required
• 90-day estimated credentialing timeframe
• Required skills: inpatient cardiology, ICU experience, STEMI management, invasive diagnostic cardiology (PA catheter placement, IABP placement, cardiac catheterization, heart biopsy)
• Required interventional skills: angioplasty-PTCA, intracoronary stent placement, atherectomy
• Preferred skills: non-invasive cardiology including echocardiography, TEE, and nuclear cardiology
