Job description
We are seeking a Cardiologist to provide locum tenens coverage for a provider on leave. This position offers daytime consults, optional diagnostic procedures, and night/weekend call coverage in a non-EP-focused cardiology setting.
Job Responsibilities
Average Daily Census: 8–12 patients/day (varies by service line)
Consults: General cardiology hospital consults – no EP
Procedures:
Not Required – EKGs, Stress Tests, and Echos optional if provider is comfortable
Outpatient: Routine follow-ups and new evals – no APP support
Systems: Providers will interact with 5 diagnostic reading systems
Qualifications
Willing to commit to minimum of 2 weeks per month
Able to navigate multiple systems for diagnostics
Strong communication and organizational skills
PA or IMLC LOQ in hand

Working Hours
Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Night Call (Weekdays): 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
24-Hour Weekend Call: 8:00 AM (Sat) – 8:00 AM (Sun/Mon)
Clinic Days: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Outpatient)
Estimated Shifts/Month: Up to 30
Start Date: October 6, 2025
End Date: June 30, 2026
Call Details:
Weekday Night Call (5p–8a):
~5–6 calls/night (mostly phone-based)
Rare to be called in overnight
Weekend Call (24hr):
Saturday or Sunday Only: 8–10 follow-ups, ~10 new consults
~5–6 night calls; in-person visits rarely required overnight
Back-up interventional cardiologist handles most in-person calls
