Overview:
- We are looking to add an outstanding Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Specialist or Cardiologist to our team of exceptional cardiologists at our nationally awarded cardiovascular program.

- The Heart & Vascular Institute has grown into the area's largest group of cardiovascular specialists providing services to Rapid City and neighboring communities throughout the region.
- With a team of board-certified physicians, skilled support staff and excellent facilities, the Heart & Vascular Institute is able to offer a full spectrum of cardiovascular care including diagnostic services, cardiovascular research, five current heart failure research studies, and a nationally accredited laboratory all in one convenient location.
- The facilities house two cardiac and vascular surgical suites, two cath labs, and a hybrid suite with state-of-the-art imaging and equipment.
- This team of caregivers has been recognized nationally by receiving the 2016 Mission: Lifeline Receiving Center Bronze Plus Recognition and the 2016 National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) ACTION Registry GWTG Platinum Performance Awards, the 4th year in a row - signifying our system is among the best in the nation in following treatment guidelines proven to increase survival rates and reduce readmission rates for heart attack and heart failure.
- The Heart & Vascular Institute is currently working on the AHA heart failure guideline registry.
- The team consists of a Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology physician, a dedicated team of Heart Failure nurse practitioners, Heart Failure outpatient nurses, and an inpatient Heart Failure educator/coordinator that have all completed HFSA courses with the most updated guidelines for heart failure.
- We also offer dedicated Heart Failure inpatient services, Heart Failure outpatient services with a very collegial electrophysiology and/or structural team (Mitra clip, TAVR and tri-clip), cardiac MRI, mechanical circulatory support, ECMO, and we are currently in the process of building our own destination therapy LVAD program.
