Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 trauma center with a busy catheterization laboratory that handles 5-10 cases daily. The hospital features a 30-bed cardiology department and maintains high standards of care with board-certified physicians. It offers comprehensive cardiac care services in a modern healthcare setting.

Opportunity: ABMS-Cardiology

This is a locum tenens position covering for a recently resigned part-time cardiologist and another who is on sabbatical until August 11th. The facility is seeking coverage for specific dates with some flexibility to group dates together.

Job Details:

• Cath-lab only coverage in a busy environment performing 5-10 cases daily
• On-call responsibilities for STEMIs and other emergent cath lab procedures during shifts
• Approximately 10 patient encounters per shift
• Required skills include inpatient cardiology, ICU coverage, and invasive cardiology (diagnostic and interventional)
• Must be comfortable with cardiac catheterization, PA catheter placement, IABP placement, and heart biopsy
• Interventional skills needed include angioplasty (PTCA), intracoronary stent placement, and atherectomy
• STEMI response capability required
• Echocardiography and TEE experience preferred
• Minimum fellowship training of 3 years
• Board certification or board eligibility required
