Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Cardiologist for a long-term locums opportunity in Greensboro, North Carolina. This hospital-based assignment consists of night and weekend coverage serving as second call. The role is focused on Cardiology consultations, evaluation and management services, and interpretation of inpatient cardiac studies, with no procedures required.

Assignment Details

• Start date: December 2026

• Contract length: 69 weeks

• Night and weekend coverage

• Second-call responsibilities

• Minimum coverage requirement: 1 week per month

• Minimum weekend requirement: 1 weekend per month, as needed for scheduling

• Shifts do not need to be consecutive

• Local candidates only

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM

• Friday: 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Saturday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Sunday: 5:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Position Highlights

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide Cardiology consultations upon request

• Perform evaluation and management services

• Serve as second-call Cardiologist during assigned shifts

• Evaluate and manage adult hospital patients as clinically indicated

• Interpret cardiac diagnostic studies performed in the hospital

Procedures & Skills

• No procedures required

• Echocardiogram interpretation required

• Nuclear study interpretation required

• Cardiology consultation and E&M experience required

Support & Technology

• Hospital-based Cardiology department

• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiology required

• Active North Carolina medical license required

• DEA required

• ACLS required

• BLS required

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience required

• Local candidates only

• Must be able to provide at least 1 week per month and 1 weekend per month as scheduling requires

Credentialing

• Approximately 60–90 days

• Active North Carolina license required

Organization & Team

• Hospital-based Cardiology service

• Second-call coverage model

• Focus on consultations, E&M services, and cardiac study interpretation

• No procedural responsibilities
