Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Murrells Inlet, SC.
The physician will primarily provide onsite coverage at the main hospital location while also supporting a nearby hospital through overnight & weekend call coverage.
The role includes inpatient cardiology consultations, rounding, TEE, cardioversions, stress test supervision & call responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
• Round on inpatient cardiology patients
• Perform TEE procedures
• Perform cardioversions
• Supervise stress testing
• Provide cardiology call coverage during the assigned seven day coverage period
• Provide overnight & weekend call coverage for the secondary hospital
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff & other healthcare professionals
• Evaluate & manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Complete appropriate clinical documentation in Epic
Qualifications
• Cardiology fellowship required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years
• General Cardiology experience
• Ability to perform TEE & cardioversions
• Experience supervising stress testing
• Ability to provide inpatient cardiology care & call coverage
• Epic experience preferred
• Prior travel/locum experience required
Working Hours
Monday 7:00 AM – Following Monday 7:00 AM
During the seven day coverage period:
• Primary onsite coverage at the main hospital
• General cardiology consults & inpatient rounding
• TEE & cardioversions
• Stress test supervision
