Job description
We are seeking a General Non Invasive Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Murrells Inlet, SC. The physician will provide general cardiology consultation, inpatient rounding, diagnostic services, procedures, and call coverage.
The primary onsite coverage will be at a hospital in Murrells Inlet, with additional night and weekend call responsibilities supporting a nearby hospital during the seven day coverage period.
Job Responsibilities
• Round on hospitalized patients
• Perform TEE procedures
• Perform cardioversions
• Supervise stress testing
• Provide cardiology call coverage during the assigned seven day period
• Provide night & weekend call coverage as required
• Evaluate and manage inpatient cardiac conditions
• Coordinate care with the broader medical team
• Prioritize weekend morning stress testing when scheduled
Qualifications
• Completion of an accredited Cardiology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Board eligibility must be within 5 years
• General Cardiology experience
• Ability to perform TEE & cardioversions
• Ability to supervise stress testing
• Active SC medical license or eligibility as required
• Current DEA registration
• Prior travel/locum experience required
Working Hours
Coverage is structured as a 7 day period from 7:00 AM Monday through 7:00 AM the following Monday.
Additional coverage includes:
• Night call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend call from 5:00 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday
• Weekend morning stress testing may require schedule prioritization
