Job description
We are seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a locum tenens position in Bellingham, Washington. This is a hospital-based assignment supporting inpatient cardiology services. Please see below for more information.

- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
Perform admissions limited to STEMI presentations; remaining volume consists of consults and follow-up rounds
Perform cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms, averaging approximately 2-4 TEEs per shift
Interpret echocardiography, cardiac nuclear studies, and TEE, drawing on working experience in cardiac nuclear medicine
Manage an average daily volume of approximately 14-16 patients in an adult population
Practice independently within the hospital setting
Maintain and provide documentation of cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months
Exercise both clinic and hospital privileges, with clinical focus directed to inpatient support
Qualifications
Active Washington state medical license required; IMLC accepted
DEA required
BLS required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
ACLS required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Credentialed to interpret echocardiography, cardiac nuclear studies, and TEE, and to perform cardioversion
Nuclear cardiology board certification not required
Epic charting experience required
Working Hours
Five days per week
On-call required: 1-2 weekday call nights and one call weekend
Call ratio averages 1:6
