Job description
We are seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a locum tenens position in Saratoga Springs, New York. This is an ongoing inpatient consult opportunity within an established cardiology practice. Please see below for more information.
- Acute care hospital
- Trauma Level: Adult III/IV
- EMR: Epic, MUSE, GE Centricity (CCW)
- Practice setting: inpatient cardiology
- No satellite locations
Job Responsibilities
Perform daily hospital rounds Monday through Sunday during the assigned week
Manage acute cardiac conditions
Cover an average daily census of 18-25 patients
Interpret non-invasive cardiac studies including echocardiograms, routine stress tests, EKGs, and non-invasive vascular studies
Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
Practice independently on an inpatient consult service
Treat adult patients only
No interventional or cath lab responsibilities
Qualifications
Active New York state medical license
Working Hours
Day shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hospital rounding Monday through Sunday during the assigned week
Scheduled coverage plus on-call required
Overnight call four nights per seven-day block: one weekday overnight (Monday-Thursday) plus Friday, Saturday, and Sunday overnight call
No STEMI-only call
No shared call rotation
