Locum Tenens | ASAP Start
WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist for an urgent outpatient locum tenens opportunity beginning as soon as possible. This emergency coverage assignment offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no required call and the flexibility to accommodate providers who are available for as little as 1–2 weeks per month.
Assignment Highlights
- Start Date: ASAP (Preferred start no later than August 3, 2026)
- Coverage Type: Locum Tenens
- Commitment: Initial 60-day assignment with ongoing potential
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Setting: Outpatient
- Onsite Requirement: Onsite
- Credentialing Timeframe: Emergency privileges available for clean files
This opportunity is available due to an unexpected provider absence, creating an immediate need for coverage. Up to three physicians may be considered depending on availability, and providers who can commit to only one to two weeks per month are encouraged to apply.
The practice is supported by experienced nursing staff, medical assistants, and advanced practice providers, with EPIC utilized as the electronic medical record system. While call is not required, optional call opportunities are available for interested physicians, including weeknight call, weekend call, and daytime hospital call.
Candidate Requirements
- BC/BE Non-Invasive Cardiologist
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC
- Comfortable practicing in an outpatient setting
- Clean credentialing file required
Clinical Responsibilities
Providers should be comfortable managing general cardiology consultations and interpreting:
- Echocardiograms (ECHO)
- Holter monitor studies
- Electrocardiograms (ECGs)
TEE experience is not required unless participating in optional hospital call coverage.
