Job description
The VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join a highly respected cardiovascular team at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado.
This position offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive cardiovascular medicine while serving our nation's Veterans in a collaborative, academically affiliated healthcare environment. The successful candidate will provide outpatient and inpatient cardiology services, participate in cardiovascular imaging and diagnostic evaluations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to teaching and research initiatives.
The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center maintains a strong academic affiliation with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, providing opportunities for education, mentorship, and scholarly activities.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
• Interpret and supervise non-invasive cardiovascular testing and imaging studies.
• Perform cardiovascular consultations and coordinate care with referring providers.
• Participate in cardiovascular disease prevention and risk reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialty services to optimize patient outcomes.
• Supervise and educate medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and performance improvement activities.
• Contribute to clinical research, academic programs, and educational conferences as appropriate.
• Participate in shared call coverage responsibilities.
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
• Unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
• Strong clinical skills in non-invasive cardiology.
• Interest or expertise in advanced cardiac imaging is desirable.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
• Academic, teaching, and research experience welcomed.
