A leading regional healthcare system in Albany and Troy, New York is expanding its cardiology services and seeking a Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist. This is a permanent opportunity offering flexibility across inpatient and outpatient settings within a collaborative, multidisciplinary cardiology team.
Physicians will practice across multiple established facilities, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care with access to advanced diagnostic resources and Epic EMR. Multiple scheduling models are available, allowing candidates to choose the structure that best aligns with their professional goals.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform hospital rounding and manage clinic-based patient visits
• Choose from flexible scheduling options including weekend rounding-only, traditional hospital/clinic schedule, or hospital-only shift-based role
• Conduct outpatient clinic care, including walk-in clinic coverage 2–3 times per month (traditional model)
• Participate in a 1:5 weekend call rotation with telephone and occasional in-person coverage
• Manage an average of 20–25 patients per 8-hour clinic day
• Participate in hospital rounds for a team covering approximately 50–60 patients daily
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team
• Maintain compliance with institutional policies and credentialing requirements
Qualifications
• Fellowship Trained in Cardiology (completion prior to start required)
• Active New York State Medical License (or willingness to obtain)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Active DEA registration
• Clean malpractice history
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required at presentation
• Willingness to work at multiple locations (Albany and Troy, NY)
• Not accepting Locums candidates
• Not open to Visa candidates
• Open to 2026 new graduates
• Candidates with lapsed board certification will not be considered
Working Hours
• Traditional Schedule: Monday–Friday clinic with hospital responsibilities
• Weekend-only rounding option available
• Hospital-only shift-based option available
• 1:5 weekend call rotation
