Seeking Talented Staff Physicians for the Section of Cardiology Non-invasive to Join Our Healthcare Team in Tulsa, OK.
Job Responsibilities
The EASTERN Oklahoma VA Health Care System (EOVAHCS) is seeking applications for the position of staff physician, Cardiology Non-invasive. We're seeking a board-certified, full-time employed physician to join our Cardiology Non-invasive department at the Eastern Oklahoma VA Medical Center Hospital. Our ideal candidate will enjoy a busy clinical practice and be dual board-certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. We are specifically seeking someone with an interest in Echocardiography, stress testing, Holter, and event monitors. This opportunity has a combination outpatient and inpatient consults and management. Supports a 60-bed VA hospital in Tulsa. The physician reports to the Chief of Medicine Specialty and is non-supervisory.
The Staff Physicians may have teaching opportunities due to our association with Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OSUCOM) and the Oklahoma University of Oklahoma College of Medicine (OUCOM) program. Qualified applicants will have an MD/DO, current medical license and be board-certified or eligible in Cardiology. The ideal candidate for the staff physician positions will be suitable for academic appointment at OSUCOM and OUCOM. At the level of assistant, associate, or full professor, as supported by a strong track record of academic and/or clinical excellence. Applicants must also be eligible for appointment at the VA.The clinical activities of the Section of Cardiology span the breath of the subspecialty and are strongly supported by surgery, pathology, radiology, and the other staff members of the Medicine Service.
Qualifications
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
Board Certification in Cardiology and Internal Medicine is preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered
