Locums | Interventional Cardiology | Eureka, CA (active CA license required)
Why This Role
Call only; 24-hour beeper coverage
Defined coverage blocks
2 openings; multiple providers accepted
75% interventional / 25% noninvasive
No APP or resident supervision
Assignment Details
Start: March 2027; ongoing intermittent coverage
Requested blocks (year/start times to confirm):
- March 5–8, ending 7a
- March 12–13, ending 7a
- July 30–August 6, 7a–7a
- August 13–20, 7a–7a
- December 24 onward
Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 7a–7a
Coverage: Inpatient beeper call
Call response: 20 minutes
Volume: Approximately 10–15 patients/shift
Setting: Level III trauma, stroke-certified hospital
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: Approximately 60–90 days
Clinical Details
Scope: 75% interventional cardiology and 25% noninvasive cardiology
Nuclear cardiology reading/activity required
Full required procedure list to be confirmed
Requirements
BC or BE within 3–5 years of residency
Active CA license required
Fellowship required
Several years of interventional cardiology experience; no new graduates
At least 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty
Active fluoroscopy certification required
ACLS and BLS
Active DEA
