Position Details
Patient Population: Adult
Setting: Inpatient / EMTALA Call – No outpatient or clinic responsibilities
Responsibilities: Respond to all cardiology calls for the hospital, provide general cardiology consultations as needed, and read EKGs, ECHOs, and stress tests, including nuclear stress tests.
Required Procedures: Balloon angioplasties, coronary angioplasty, PCI, heart catheterization, and coronary angiograms.
EMR System: Epic Cupid
Support Staff: Two interventional cardiologists in the group; another interventional cardiologist will be present during locum coverage.
Days Per Month: 3–7 days per month
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour call coverage, including weekends. The facility is seeking an on-call daily rate that includes 8–24 gratis hours.
Submission Requirements
- Board Certified – Required
- Active Kentucky License & DEA – Required (IMLC may be considered if the provider has 3–7 days/month availability)
- ACLS – Required
- NPDB report
