Schedule & availability requirements:
- Block Schedule: 5-day long weekends (Thursday am to Tuesday am preferred; Wed/Fri am start acceptable)
- Frequency Requirement: Every 1 in 3 weekends ongoing (Must commit monthly starting January 2027)
- Shift Details: 9-hour regular day + night call (Mon–Fri); 24-hour call on Sat/Sun
- Call Coverage: Provider holds the pager for the full duration of the 5-day assignment
- EMR System: Epic
- Practice Setting: Inpatient (Level III Trauma Center)
Patient load & clinical scope:
- Patient Load: Average of 12–15 patients per shift (rounding & consults)
- Support Staff: Inpatient APC support is provided on the cardiology service
- Clinical Procedures Required : Urgent Inpatient Caths, Temporary Pacemakers, STEMIs, Stat Echos
- Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) & Nuclear Cardiology - Mandatory.
Candidate requirements & licensing:
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology (Fellowship Required)
- License Requirement: Active Minnesota State License OR active IMLC Compact License
