Job description
OnCall Solutions is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for ongoing, part-time locum tenens coverage in Hazard, Kentucky. This assignment combines STEMI call, outpatient clinic, and elective procedures in an adult-only hospital setting.

Schedule & Scope
-
24-hour STEMI call: 7 a.m.–7 a.m.
-
Clinic Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Approximately 15 clinic patients per day
-
Elective procedure blocks available Tuesday and Thursday
-
Physician remains on call during clinic coverage
-
Inpatient consults, acute cardiac interventions, and cardiovascular follow-up
Procedural scope includes cardiac catheterization, PCI, coronary angioplasty and stenting, atherectomy, thrombectomy, FFR, IVUS, OCT, and peripheral interventions. Structural heart experience will be reviewed against facility coverage needs.
Qualifications
-
MD or DO
-
Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology through ABIM/AOA
-
Active Kentucky medical license and Kentucky DEA
-
Current ACLS and BLS
-
Minimum two years of experience
Standard credentialing is estimated at 90–120 days. Emergency privileges may be available for eligible candidates, subject to facility approval.
