Job description A hospital in the Cottonwood, AZ area needs a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist for Monday to Friday coverage in 19 scheduled weeks of 2027, starting January 25. Pay is $424.27 per hour, and travel is covered. Each week rotates between the hospital and the clinic, 7a to 5:30p with a 30-minute lunch. No call. Arizona licensing is workable, since the site has time to license you and accepts IMLC.

Job Responsibilities

Cover STEMIs and cardiology consults, with 4-5 procedures and 3-4 consults on a typical hospital day and about 8-14 hospital consults. TEEs run about 1-2 a day. In clinic weeks, see 18-24 patients a day. There is no CT surgery back-up. Part of a group of two physicians, with MA, PCT, nursing, and PA support in house.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology. Arizona license or IMLC (the site will work with you on licensing). ACLS and BLS. 2 years of experience. COVID and flu vaccines are required (case-by-case exemptions possible). Credentialing runs about 30 days.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 7a to 5:30p, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, alternating hospital and clinic each week. Open weeks in 2027: Jan 25-29; Feb 8-12, 15-19, 22-26; Mar 8-12, 22-26, 29-Apr 2; Apr 19-23; May 24-28; Jun 28-Jul 2; Jul 5-9; Aug 16-20, 30-Sep 3; Sep 13-17; Oct 25-29; Nov 1-5, 22-26, 29-Dec 3; Dec 20-24, 27-31. Take one week or many.

Skills

STEMI management, interventional procedures, TEE, cardiology consults and clinic. 87-bed acute care hospital, patient population 60+. Cerner EMR. The site values strong interpersonal skills with staff and patients.
