Job description

Job description BJC HealthCare needs an interventional cardiologist for 24-hour call coverage at a 110-bed hospital in Farmington, MO, starting 11/9/2026. This is a light-frequency assignment, approximately 6 days per month plus vacation coverage, structured as a 3-month contract with anticipated coverage running a full year. $4,000 per 24-hour call day.

Job Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour call coverage including hospital rounding, reads, cath procedures, and weekend call. Rounding runs 4-5 hours per day with minimal callback. Work alongside 1 interventional cardiologist, 1 general cardiologist, a PA, and an NP. Approximately 18-20 patients per day, ages 40-90. Chart in Epic.

Qualifications

Board certified required. Active Missouri license required, IMLC considered, and the client will support licensing for the right candidate. DEA required. BLS and ACLS required, 3-5 years of experience preferred. Credentialing runs 45-60 days. Physicians only, no APPs on this one.

Working Hours

24-hour call shifts, 7am to 7am, approximately 6 days per month plus vacation coverage as needed.
