Position Overview
We are seeking three Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologists to provide comprehensive cardiology and interventional cardiology services to Veterans at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for physicians who are clinically accomplished, dependable, collaborative, and committed to high-quality Veteran care.
The Interventional Cardiologist will serve as a clinical expert and proceduralist, provide care across the cardiac catheterization and cardiology services, supervise health professions trainees, and work closely with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, residents, and cardiac catheterization laboratory technologists.
Schedule & Coverage
Regular on-site hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
An alternate work schedule may be considered based on service needs and VA approval.
Shared STEMI call with the academic affiliate (UCSF) is required during evenings, weekends, federal holidays, and other hours when the clinic is closed.
While on call, the physician must be available for telephone consultation within 15 minutes and able to report on site within 60 minutes.
Physicians must be punctual and physically present for scheduled clinic and cardiac catheterization laboratory start times.
