Interventional Cardiologist – Pennsylvania - Clinic & Call

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for a locum opportunity in Pennsylvania. This assignment includes hospital-based interventional and general cardiology coverage with STEMI call, inpatient and outpatient procedures, and a collaborative practice environment.

Assignment Details

• Hospital-based coverage
• Interventional Cardiology with weekend General Cardiology coverage
• Temporary privileges available for qualified candidates

Current Coverage Needs

• August 28 (7:00 AM) – August 31 (7:00 AM): 24-hour call
• October 5 (7:00 AM) – October 9 (5:00 PM): Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM with weeknight beeper call (4:00 PM–7:00 AM)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Weeknight beeper call: 4:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend STEMI call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based
• Epic EMR
• 74-bed hospital

Clinical Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient cardiac catheterizations
• Hospital consults
• Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• Echocardiogram interpretation
• Cardiac window procedures
• STEMI call coverage
• General cardiology coverage on weekends

Patient Volume

• Approximately 15 consults per day
• Approximately 3 procedures per day

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• DEA required

Credentialing

• Approximately 120 days if not already credentialed with WellSpan
• Temporary privileges available for clean files

Ideal Candidate

An Interventional Cardiologist comfortable providing both interventional and general cardiology coverage, including STEMI call, catheterizations, TEEs, and inpatient consults in a hospital-based practice.
