A respected healthcare system is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage. This is a call-only opportunity focused primarily on STEMI coverage in a hospital setting.
- Inpatient setting
- Epic EMR
- Temporary privileges available
- Approximately 9–18 STEMI cases per month
- APP support available
- No admissions required
- No supervision of APPs or residents required
Job Responsibilities
Internal Medicine
ICU
Echocardiography
Invasive cardiology -Diagnostic only
PA Catheter Placement
Intra Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
Cardiac catheterization
Angioplasty -PTCA
Intracoronary stent placement
Atherectomy
Qualifications
Active California medical license required
DEA required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Clean malpractice history, NPDB, and background check required for expedited temporary privileges
Working Hours
24-hour beeper call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Ongoing assignment
7–15 shifts per month available
Skills
