Interventional Cardiology | UPMC PA | $4000/24hr Call + Cathlab Options

UPMC Hanover + UPMC Memorial (York), PA

UPMC is seeking Interventional Cardiologists for ongoing coverage across two affiliated sites in Pennsylvania. Flexible structure with both weekend call and structured week/month options available.

Position Overview

Option 1 – Weekend / Flexible Call (Hanover)

• Fri 5p – Mon 7a weekend call coverage

• Weekday 24hr call options (7a–7a)

• ~3 shifts/month

Option 2 – Structured Week/Month (York + Hanover)

• 1 week/month coverage

• Mon–Fri 7a–5p cathlab

• Weeknight call (5p–7a, ~2 nights/week)

• Weekend call (Sat–Sun 7a–7a)

Compensation

• $4000 per 24hr call (flat rate)

• Equivalent: $210/hr ($5040 bill rate)

• Night call: ~$2940

• Prorated for partial day coverage

Clinical Scope

• STEMI coverage

• Cardiac caths, PCI, interventions

• PE work preferred

• Consult-only model (hospitalists handle admissions)

Volume & Workflow

• 2–3 consults/day typical

• 0–4 call-ins (Hanover) | 0–3 call-ins (York weekends)

• 0–7 add-on cathlab cases/day

• 30-minute response time

Practice Environment

• EPIC EMR

• Cross-credentialing across both sites

• No CT surgery onsite (transfers as needed)

• No APP support

Requirements

• Board Certified Interventional Cardiology

• Active Pennsylvania license required at submission

• Minimum 3 years experience

• Must be within reasonable driving distance

Additional Details

• Travel covered (mileage, lodging, rental car)

• Temp privileges available (~60 days)

• Ongoing need with consistent scheduling
