Permanent Opportunity – Interventional Cardiology Location: Muskegon, Michigan

Position Overview

A full-time Interventional Cardiologist (MD/DO) is needed to join an established regional cardiovascular practice. The physician will work within a physician-led health system delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care across the West Michigan lakeshore region.

  • Employment Type: Permanent

  • Group Size: 10-physician regional cardiology practice

  • Focus: Interventional Cardiology (no structural heart procedures allocated)

  • Locums Candidates: Not accepted

Schedule
  • Full-time interventional cardiology schedule

  • Combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities

  • Specific hours not listed

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiac catheterizations

  • Conduct coronary angioplasty and stenting (PCI)

  • Provide emergency angioplasty for acute myocardial infarction

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures

  • Conduct electrical cardioversions

  • Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)

  • Implant and manage:

    • Pacemakers

    • Bi-ventricular pacemakers

    • Implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICD)

    • Loop recorders

  • Provide inpatient cardiology consultations

  • Manage patients with:

    • Coronary artery disease (CAD)

    • Cardiomyopathy

    • Arrhythmias

    • Valvular heart disease

  • Participate in heart failure management and CHF clinic support

  • Conduct pre-surgical cardiovascular evaluations

  • Assist with lipid management and anticoagulation therapy

  • Collaborate with APPs, nurses, and medical assistants

  • Work within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular care team

  • Utilize Epic EMR and MyChart systems

Practice Environment
  • High-volume cardiology practice serving West Michigan communities

  • Collaboration with a Cardiothoracic Surgery program

  • Expanding Electrophysiology services

  • Regional cardiovascular care network

Credentialing Requirements

Board Certification

  • Board Certified in Cardiology or

  • Board Eligible with certification required within 2 years

Important Note

  • Candidates with lapsed board certification are not accepted.

Licensure

  • Ability to obtain or hold an active Michigan medical license
