Locum Interventional Cardiologist – Saint Alphonsus Medical Center (Nampa, ID)

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Nampa is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide 24-hour call-only coverage at their modern, high-acuity facility. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team at a Level II Trauma Center offering comprehensive inpatient cardiovascular services.

Assignment Overview

• Schedule: Call Coverage Only (No Clinic)

• Shifts: 24-hour call, 7a–7a

• Dates Needed:

  • Nov 4–10, 2025

  • Nov 27–Dec 2, 2025

  • Dec 2–8, 2025

  • Dec 24, 2025–Jan 5, 2026

  • Jan 22–27, 2026

  • Feb 18–24, 2026

  • Mar 19–24, 2026

  • Apr 16–21, 2026

• Setting: Inpatient only

• Average Volume: ~3 consults/day and ~2 procedures/day

• Support: 1–2 APPs during weekdays; 1 APP for ~5 hrs/day on weekends

• Trauma Level: II

• ICU/Telemetry/CMU Beds: 18 / 18 / 10

Required Skills & Procedures

• Required: Interventional cardiology procedures (Balloon pumps, Coronary stents, IVUS, IFR)

• Preferred: TEE experience

• STEMI Volume: ~3 activations per week (average)

Travel & Reimbursement

• Flights: Up to $750 roundtrip (taxes/fees included)

• Lodging: Up to $179/night (Preferred Hotel: Candlewood Suites Boise – Towne Square, an IHG Hotel)

• Rental Car: Up to $50/day (all-inclusive)

• Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate (personal vehicle use only)

Submission Requirements

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology – Required

• Active Idaho License or IMLC LOQ – Required

• Clean malpractice and background – Required
  

• Ability to cover most/all dates listed – Required

• Local candidates – Highly Preferred
  

Credentialing Documents Needed

• Medical school diploma, residency/fellowship certificates

• Active licenses, DEA, board certifications

• BLS card, color photo/headshot

• Current COI and 2 years of CMEs

• Immunizations (TB, Flu, HepB, Tdap, Varicella, COVID)

• References and recent case logs
