🫀 Locum Tenens Opportunity: Interventional Cardiologist – Northern Michigan

Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment in Northern Michigan.

📅 Open Call Coverage Dates (72-hour blocks):

• January 9–12, 2026
• February 6–9, 2026
• March 20–23, 2026
• April 10–13, 2026
• May 18–21, 2026
• June 12–15, 2026

💰 Compensation:

• $2800 per 24-hour call
• $450/hour for callback

🏥 Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour in-hospital call coverage, including weekends
• Perform urgent/emergent cardiac catheterizations and PCI procedures
• Manage general cardiology patients (CHF, arrhythmias, ACS, post-PCI care)
• Daily rounding on hospitalized cardiology patients
• Supervise and collaborate with an on-site Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
• Utilize full-service Cath Lab, 24/7 radiology/lab support, and hospitalist teams
• Document care using Cerner EHR
• Participate in code responses and airway management with hospitalist and anesthesia teams
• Coordinate occasional transfers with McLaren Bay, Lansing, or nearby facilities

📋 Requirements:

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Michigan medical license in good standing – REQUIRED
• Must reside in or near Michigan – REQUIRED
• Clean background for expedited credentialing – REQUIRED
• Availability for listed dates – REQUIRED
• DEA – Verbal confirmation required at name clear – REQUIRED
• Must be CLEAR for credentialing
