Job description
A well-established facility in Suffolk, Virginia is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage. This position is inpatient-based with call responsibilities to support the group during provider time off. You’ll work in a Level 3 trauma center with access to full cardiology resources and a robust support staff.

🏥 Facility Size: 250 total beds | 10 ICU beds
EMR: Epic
👨⚕️ Position Details:

Setting: Inpatient with call

Reason for Coverage: Provider PTO (ATO)

Average Clinic Volume: ~28 patients per provider

Average Inpatient Admissions: 3–4/day

You’ll be the sole interventional cardiologist on-site during coverage

Must be comfortable supervising Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs)

Patient Demographic: Adult & Geriatric

✅ Submission Requirements:

Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology – REQUIRED

Active VA Medical License & DEA – REQUIRED

BLS/ACLS Certification – REQUIRED
