REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Management of short-term mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, ECMO)
• Advanced heart failure and cardiogenic shock management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE by the ABIM in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant
• Experience: More than 5 years post-fellowship experience preferred
• Other Qualifications: NPDB report no older than 3 months; effective communication and multidisciplinary team collaboration skills

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide weekend coverage (Friday 5pm – Monday 8am) including rounding and overnight call.
• Evaluate and manage patients with advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and heart failure in both clinic and hospital settings.
• Manage short-term mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, ECMO) in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Round on patients in the hospital with support from APPs (when available) and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with regional transplant referral centers and other specialists.
