Coverage: Scheduled + On Call
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
Privileges: Hospital + Clinic
Schedule:
- 8-hour clinic shifts, 3–4 consecutive days
- Coverage needed 2 weeks per month
- Adjacent weekend EP call 1–2 times/month
- Weekend call: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM rounding/inpatient coverage, followed by telephone call 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Approximately 5 hours of rounding per weekend day
- Additional EP lab days may be available
Patient Volume:
- Geriatric and age 50+ patients
- Approx. 3–4 patients/day
- Rounding + admissions
Procedures / Services:
- Inpatient pacemaker implantation
- DCCV/cardioversion
- EP services
- Minimum 30 EP cases documented in the previous 24 months
- If requesting ablation privileges: 30 ablation cases in the previous year
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Active cardiology practice with 100 inpatient cases in the previous 24 months, or qualifying recent training
- Epic experience
Licenses Required:
- Oregon medical license
- Willing to license
- BLS
- ACLS
Coverage Support:

General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology will also be on call during weekends.
