Description:
Noor Locums is seeking a Board Certified Cardiac Electrophysiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Springfield, Oregon.
This assignment offers approximately 2 weeks of coverage per month with a combination of EP clinic, inpatient coverage, and weekend EP call. There may also be opportunities for EP lab days for the right candidate.
Assignment Highlights:
- Approximately 2 weeks of coverage per month
- 8-hour scheduled shifts
- 3–4 days of clinic followed by adjacent weekend call 1–2 times per month
- Weekend EP call required
- Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Pacemaker implantation
- Direct-current cardioversion
- Potential EP lab days
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Approximately 3–4 patients per day
- Epic EMR
- Ongoing assignment beginning January 2027
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage EP patients in clinic
Perform inpatient rounding
Participate in weekend EP call
Provide telephone consultation while on call
Perform and manage inpatient pacemaker implantations
Perform direct-current cardioversion procedures
Participate in admissions and inpatient EP management
Collaborate with General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology physicians
Potentially provide EP lab coverage based on experience and assignment needs
Qualifications
Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology
Minimum 2 years of experience
Active Oregon medical license required
Willingness to obtain Oregon licensure may be considered
BLS and ACLS required
Epic experience required
Demonstrated recent clinical activity in Cardiology and Electrophysiology
Must have recent experience with inpatient pacemaker implantation
Must be comfortable participating in weekend EP call
Case Requirements:
Candidates should be able to demonstrate recent clinical activity appropriate to the requested privileges, including:
At least 100 inpatient Cardiology cases within the previous 24 months or qualifying recent training
At least 30 Electrophysiology cases representative of the requested scope within the previous 24 months
Candidates requesting ablation privileges should have appropriate recent ablation experience
Working Hours
Typically 3–4 clinic days followed by adjacent weekend call
Approximately 1–2 weekend call assignments per month
Weekend call includes inpatient rounding and pacemaker implantation from approximately 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Telephone EP call coverage from approximately 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
Approximately 5 hours of rounding per weekend day
Schedule is approximately 2 weeks per month
