Description
PeaceHealth Northwest Medical Center in Bellingham, Washington is seeking a BC Cardiologist with Electrophysiology experience for ongoing locum tenens coverage supporting both General Cardiology and Electrophysiology services.
This opportunity includes hospital-based cardiology coverage with a combination of scheduled daytime shifts and call. The EP role includes a broad procedural scope, from pacemakers through ablations, while General Cardiology includes cardioversions and TEE procedures.
Highlights
- 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Approximately 1 week of coverage per month

- Epic EMR in a 247-bed hospital
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage adult cardiology patients
Perform and interpret cardiology procedures within scope of privileges
Perform cardioversions and TEE procedures
Provide full-spectrum electrophysiology services, including pacemaker procedures and ablations
Provide hospital-based patient care, including rounding and admissions
Participate in scheduled weeknight and weekend call coverage
Collaborate with APC and clinical support staff
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
Qualifications
Board Certified in Electrophysiology
Active Washington medical license
ACLS, BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience
Recent cardiovascular clinical activity within the past 24 months
Recent EP case experience, including approximately 100 EP cases within the past 24 months
Epic charting experience
Comfortable providing adult inpatient cardiology and electrophysiology care
Working Hours
7:00 AM–5:00 PM, 10-hour shifts
Coverage Pattern:
Approximately 1 week per month
Call:
Approximately 2 weeknight calls during the scheduled coverage week
Potential 24-hour weekend call as needed
