Job description
We are seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiologist for a locum tenens position in Springfield, Oregon. This opportunity carries both clinic and hospital privileges with combined inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
Perform inpatient pacemaker implantation and DCCV cardioversion
Round on inpatients and manage admissions
Care for a primarily geriatric and adult patient population, ages 50 and older
Manage an average clinic volume of three to four patients per day
Maintain active cardiology practice reflective of the scope of privileges requested, evidenced by documented care of at least 100 inpatients within the past 24 months at an accredited hospital or healthcare facility, or by completion of a hospital-affiliated accredited residency, clinical fellowship, or research within the past 24 months
Provide documentation of electrophysiology cases performed within the previous 24 months (minimum 30 cases) representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested; candidates who completed EP fellowship training within the previous year may submit a training log
Provide documentation of a minimum of 30 ablation cases performed in the previous year if ablation privileges are requested
Potential to add EP lab days depending on candidate experience
Qualifications
Active Oregon medical license required; candidates willing to obtain Oregon licensure will be considered
BLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
ACLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Epic charting experience required
Competency in inpatient pacemaker implantation and DCCV cardioversion
Working Hours
Three to four clinic days followed by adjacent weekend call
Weekend call: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM rounding and inpatient pacemaker implantation, approximately five hours per day
Telephone call from 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM
