Job description
We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This position offers a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with no call requirement. The physician will provide both inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology services, including pacemaker and ICD implants, loop recorder procedures, and various cardiac ablations.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform pacemaker implantations.
• Perform traditional and subcutaneous ICD implantations.
• Perform loop recorder implantations and explantations.
• Perform electrophysiology ablations, including:
o AVN ablation
o SVT ablation
o Atrial flutter ablation
• Provide inpatient electrophysiology consultations and patient management.
• Provide outpatient electrophysiology care and follow-up.
• Manage approximately 16 outpatient patients per day.
• Manage approximately 10–15 inpatient patients per day.
• Care for adult patients ages 18–100.
• Collaborate with assigned outpatient clinical staff and inpatient APP support.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR.
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Electrophysiology/Cardiology.
• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC LOQ required at submission.
• DEA required.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Demonstrated experience in Cardiology/Electrophysiology.
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures including pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders, and ablations.
• Clean credentialing file preferred.
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days; temporary privileges available with a clean file.

• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Call: No call required
• Coverage: Up to 40 hours per week once per month, with additional coverage as needed for vacation
• Positions: 3
• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
