Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Electrophysiology Physician (MD/DO) for an ongoing locum opportunity at an Acute Care Hospital in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This position includes both outpatient clinic and inpatient electrophysiology services, providing comprehensive care for adult patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. The provider will perform advanced electrophysiology procedures while collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team in an academic and hospital-based setting. No call coverage is required.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform electrophysiology procedures, including pacemaker and ICD implantation.
• Perform loop recorder implantation and explantation procedures.
• Perform catheter ablations for AVNRT, SVT, and atrial flutter.
• Provide outpatient consultations and follow-up care for electrophysiology patients.
• Conduct inpatient electrophysiology consultations and patient management.
• Interpret cardiac diagnostic studies and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC Letter of Qualification required at submission.
• Current DEA registration required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience performing advanced electrophysiology procedures, including pacemaker implantation, ICD implantation, loop recorder implantation/explantation, and catheter ablations.
• Recent Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and patient management skills.
Working Hours
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM day shifts.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Ongoing locum assignment with scheduled coverage dates and vacation coverage as needed.
• Up to 40 hours per week during scheduled assignment periods.
