Job description
• We are seeking a Board-Certified Electrophysiology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Chambersburg, PA.
• This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient and inpatient care in a collaborative academic and hospital setting.
• Work with a dedicated clinical team and APP support to manage a variety of electrophysiology cases.
• No call required, ensuring a structured and predictable schedule.
• Ideal for providers seeking flexible monthly coverage and vacation fill-in opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform procedures including pacemaker implants, ICD implants (traditional and subcutaneous), and loop recorder procedures
• Conduct electrophysiology studies and ablations (AVNRT, SVT, atrial flutter)
• Manage patient volumes of ~16 outpatient and 10–15 inpatient cases per day
• Collaborate with clinical teams and APPs for comprehensive care delivery
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
• Active Medical License (Required; PA preferred)
• Valid DEA License
• ACLS and BLS Certifications (Required)
• Strong experience in electrophysiology procedures and cardiology care
• Clean credentialing file for expedited processing (~90 days)
Working Hours
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No call required
• Coverage Dates Include:
• September 9 – September 11
• October 19 – October 30
• Ongoing opportunity with up to 40 hours/week as needed
Skills
• Proficiency in device implantation and ablation techniques
• Strong clinical and diagnostic cardiology skills
• Ability to manage both inpatient and outpatient workflows
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
