Holyoke Medical Center — Pioneer Valley, Massachusetts

Holyoke Medical Center is seeking an experienced Cardiac Electrophysiologist to serve as Medical Director of Electrophysiology, leading the development of a comprehensive EP program at our respected community hospital in the scenic Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.

This is a rare leadership opportunity to build and direct a service line from the ground up with strong institutional commitment, significant capital investment, and a brand-new state-of-the-art EP laboratory currently under development.

Leadership Opportunity Highlights

  • Directorship role to establish and lead a comprehensive EP program

  • Authority to shape clinical protocols, workflows, and quality initiatives
  • Established cardiology referral base across the region
  • High degree of clinical autonomy

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive arrhythmia management
  • Catheter ablation (AFib, SVT, VT, and complex arrhythmias)
  • Device implantation and management (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT)
  • Electrophysiologic studies and advanced diagnostics
  • Participation in call shared with cardiology colleagues

Medical Director Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership for EP services
  • Guide EP lab design, and implementation
  • Establish quality, safety, and performance standards
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership on program growth
  • Support recruitment and mentorship of future EP staff

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Fellowship training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease; board-certified/eligible in Electrophysiology
  • Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
